Nigerian Muslim man asks that 29-year-old who raped 2-year-old be forgiven so they can get "reward from Allah"

A Muslim man has caused outrage after he said the 29-year-old man who lured a 2-year-old girl with chocolate then raped her should be forgiven.

 

Yesterday, a Twitter user revealed that a man raped a toddler in Gwarimpa, Abuja (readhere). The family member who tweeted the news said the child's father said "he is leaving the boy to Allah". But this Twitter user, @TheChulalah refused the let the crime slide.

 

However, a male Twitter user believes they should have forgiven the rapist and forgotten about it because of "Allah". When asked if he would forgive if it's his own child who was raped, he said "if destined to happen I can't stop it". He added that he would "forgive and forget" if his child is raped.
