The Benue state governor, Samuel Ortom re-elected

The Benue State governor, Samuel Ortom, has been re-elected for a second term.

However, The Returning Officer in the state, Professor Maimako Sebastian declared him winner this afternoon after he polled a total of 434,473 votes to beat his closest rival and APC candidate, Emmanuel Jime, who got 345,155 votes.

Gov Ortom who came into office in 2015 on the platform of the APC, defected to the PDP in July 2018.
